Interests/Activities:
My name is Dana and I am twenty-two years old. I am in the Education program at Mcgill and have just completed year one. I really love my program so far and am happy to be only taking courses within my interest range! I have been partaking in some form of teaching since I was fifteen years old and started coaching gymnastics (prior to coaching I did competitive gymnastics for ten years). Coaching a fantastic group of kids has taught me so much throughout the years, I love working with them and watching them grow and learn; to be a part of their learning process is really special. My passion for coaching is what lead me to wanting to become a teacher. Aside from coaching my competitive group and attending competitions on the regular, I enjoy reading, shopping, partying, and of course, good old quality time with my friends and family! Upon completion of my degree at Mcgill I would like to begin teaching, possibly in another country for at least a year to experience and learn new things.

Other interesting things:
I am very interested in traveling. I would love to see the world and have new experiences whenever possible. I traveled to France last summer (2010) for a gymnastics training camp and had the time of my life. I would love to go back. I love learning about new cultures and meeting new people. To me, it is experiences like these that make life worth living!

I'm also currently the assistant captain of a cheerleading team in Chateauguay, Quebec, and am loving it so far! It's a good way to stay involved with gymnastics and to keep busy and get in shape!
